Amapiano is undoubtedly the biggest music genre in South Africa this year, shoving other genres aside as seen with Gqom which lost its relevance compared to last year outside the KZN province.
The new sound which is characterized by Jazz, drum and bassline had been bubbling under since 2018 but grabbed the bull by the horn in 2019.
